A womans worth has NOTHING to do with how many people she has slept with. A womans respect for herself is NOT AT ALL directly linked with how many people she has slept with.
You know what? Women DO need to learn some respect. We need to learn some respect for each other. We need to learn not to invalidate a woman because shes slept with a number of people we find to be negative. It doesnt matter. Why? Because she isnt you. If you want to save yourself..thats awesome! Go for it! But it makes you no more valid, beautiful, or respected than a woman who has slept with 20 or more people.

Are none of you guys from the South? Because white kids get they ass whooped just like black kids around here. Now, my mom was VERY lenient on me…but she busted my ass, too. My dad? My dad whooped the fuck out of me. None of it WORKED..but…I was definitely very physically disciplined as a child.

Im just gonna shut this down really quickly.
NO ONE can define anothers situation for them. If you were abused, my heart goes out to you, but you cannot tell another individual who was physically disciplined that they were abused, or that their parents abused them, if that is not how they define their situation.
People who were physically disciplined and do not define their situation as abuse cannot tell another who DOES define their situation as abuse that they were not abused. We cannot define others pain for them. We cannot define others pleasure for them. We cannot define others LIVES for them.
So shut up, and sit down. Please. Thank you.
I want to add an addendum to this. I DO think that this issue is a “poor vs upper class” issue. Im from the South, grew up poor, still not in the greatest financial situation and I dont know ANY kid that didnt get physically disciplined…white or black or brown or orange. Physical discipline is part of how kids are raised down here.
AND it aint got SHIT to do with how you grow up. I got my ass WHOOPED and I grew up to be a disrespectful, cold hearted junkie. Whether or not we get physically disciplined or not…we eventually grow into our own people and our upbringing may or may not have an adverse or non adverse effect on how we turn out. Hell, it may not have ANY effect on how we turn out, or it may just dictate our lives to the fullest.
Every situation is different.
My dash has gone nuts with talk of child abuse. FFS, my parents hit me a few times. It was never on a whim.
If I sat here I could probably list every time. Tumblr needs to calm the hell down and realize not everyone has led the same life as them.
