Todays word for the day is….

Beautiful. 

Beautiful in the dialect of Rromani that I speak is:

Suzo (shu-zhoe). The “zh” sound is what I call a ‘light j.” There really isnt a comparable sound in the English language, but I suppose ‘zh’ is closest. Instead of saying Z like you would in English, its lighter. Almost like “J” sound.

Another way to say beautiful is ‘sukar’ (shu-car).

25. lisipuska said: Maybe it’s spelt closer “śuźo (sh[y]uzh[y]o)”? Which are both softer SH and ZH sounds :) Same for “šukar (shu) / śukar (sh[y]u)”. The sound’s in Russian, so I know what it is you mean, like Russian Roma is spelt “gaźo (гажё)”, not hard “gažo (гажо)”.
